I worked with the LAB at Rockwell Group on the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel included hundreds of displays working in concert to render interactive graphics using OpenFrameworks and OpenTSPS. The development endeavor included both the chandelier bar and the hotel lobby.

This project posed a number of interesting technical challenges. The software framework needed to support simultaneous deployments to nearly a hundred machines that would work in concert to render graphics to hundreds of displays. Availability is also important because the hardware and software must be able to run continuously throughout the year without failing. Furthermore, since video was going to be played across several screens that were rendering from different machines, synchronization was critical.

My role on the project consisted of software integration, a high performance synchronized video player, graphics development, vision development, and software testing. You can read more about the project from Rockwell Group.
