Digital Flesh
Digital Flesh is a concept from director duo Radical Friend for a cutting edge art installation. The project was sponsored by Intel and VICE for the Creators Project. My friend, Roger Braunstein, and I were contracted with The Science Project to develop the online interactive component. The development relied upon Unity3D (with C# and Cg for the shaders). Various post-processing and tweaking of data were done using FFMPEG.
The process for development was very iterative. Many exploratory variations were created to find the right kind of appearance inside the supported shader profile within Unity (version 2.4 at the time). My role consisted of developing interactive animation, Cg shaders, geometry generation & creation, unity deployment, UI skinning, and texture buffer management.
